DUDLEY Heathens are hunting down the first National League silverware of the season when they face Mildenhall in the second leg of the National Shield at Wolverhampton on Tuesday (7.30).

And the former Cradley club have been warned to be on their guard against a Fen Tigers side who have a good record around Monmore having won there in the league in the last two seasons.

The visitors bring a 47-46 lead from the first leg at West Row with the tie beautifully poised.

Heathens boss Will Pottinger said: “This is going to be a very good night of racing and we will need to be on our game.

“We can’t afford any slip-ups, Mildenhall are a top team and we need to be riding well to win the National Shield.

“We won it last season and we would love to do it again. I’m sure the fans will be there to get right behind us.”

Both sides are unchanged and normal admission prices apply of £10 adults, £7 concessions and £2 children.

DUDLEY: Adam Roynon, James White-Williams, Tom Perry, Byron Bekker, Ashley Morris, Darryl Ritchings, Dan Greenwood.

MILDENHALL: Cameron Heeps, Joe Jacobs, Stefan Nielsen, Daniel Halsey, Lewis Blackbird, Nathan Stoneman, Josh Bates.
