IPSWICH Witches faced the camera today with a press and practice at Foxhall Stadium.

The ‘Sackers’ Witches went through their paces after meeting the press earlier in the day.

And there was plenty of confidence in the camp ahead of Thursday night’s opening clash with Rye House at Foxhall Stadium.

Manager Pete Simmons said: “We will be looking for a steady and solid start and a big finish.

“Potentially we have a great team and in Rohan Tungate and Cameron Heeps, two great talents in reserve from the off.”

The Witches entertain Rye House before travelling to Hoddesdon on Saturday night for the return leg.

In Tuesday’s Ipswich Star, interviews with Dakota North, Cameron Heeps and Kevin Doolan.

Plus: Who Simmons thinks will be the Witches biggest rivals in 2012.

  • Fantastic night at kesgrave and now the day has arrived to watch the fantastic Witches start their season. A team with great potential has been put together and if staying away from injuries, who knows might even get some real silverware. But the most important thing is us fans are going to be entertained with lots of excitement, that will make up for the dour happenings at portman road in the town.
