SOMERSET Rebel Sam Masters, finished in overall fourth place in the 2012 Australian Speedway Championship, which was held at Gillman, South Australia.

It was the case of same again for Masters as he finished fourth in the final round, emulating his performances in the previous two rounds held at North Brisbane and Kurri Kurri, his final tally of 48 points being just one off third place.

In the B final, Masters made it through to the all-important A final, which was won by Chris Holder, sealing his fourth Australian Championship title, with Davey Watt and Cameron Woodward heading Masters home in second and third place respectively.

The Rebels duo of Sam Masters and Alex Davies will be amongst the 16-rider field that will line up inthe 2012 Australian Under-21 speedway championship that is being staged at Kurri Kurri (New South Wales) on Saturday.
